Much has transpired since the last poster (I now edit posts and assign a pseudonym to protect the guilty). Con Victoria is a self-professed Constitutional Law scholar. She says the nation on the left missed the boat on redistricting when it essentially ignored Shelby v. Holder in 2013 and Congress did not act to undo its destruction, viz. that it was no longer necessary for the courts to monitor and approve or get “preclearance” on voting maps. That guardrail was dismantled over a dozen years ago and only now is there any hue and cry over maps. The left was asleep at the wheel because the day after Shelby Texas and North Carolina had already redrawn maps ready to implement. They say the early bird catches the worm and here a giant can of worms was opened and not one bird, early or late, was aware enough to even try catching anything. Just sayin.
